No,ed renshaw just has the cheaper torque tube, similar to a mantzel powerbox.
I fabricated one allmost identical to the torque tube at work, only i wrote my corsa gsi off before i got to fit it,bummer.
There was no way i was paying £200 odd for some thing i could weld up in a couple of hours.
Mine looked just as good as the velos item, identical, just not got round to painting it,i was gonna get it powder coated.
Ed renshaw is a jolly decent guy,he sent me some photos of his torque tube when i was making mine so i could copy it.
If anybody wants one,ill do you one for £100.
youll have to paint or powder coat it yourself though.

My engine outputs were as follows:
*82bhp @ 6000rpm with standard inlet mainfold
After having the TT fitted, it increased to:
*103bhp @ 6000rpm
Then with the addition of the Unichip, it increased to:
*107bhp @ 6000rpm
My engine has the following spec which hasn't changed through the various stages of it's development at Velos:
1598cc, 16-valve, 4-cylinder Ecotec, full engine re-build comprising of stage 2 cylinder head, oversize pistons, lightened and balanced crank/flywheel; K&N induction cone, stainless steel exhaust system with Magnex cat replacement pipe and Mongoose backbox, rocker cover painted, homemade spark plug cover. Through the development I the ECU ran a Superchip.
Engine detail as of now is:
1598cc, 16-valve, 4-cylinder Ecotec, full engine re-build comprising of stage 2 cylinder head, oversize pistons, lightened and balanced crank/flywheel; Unichip, Velos Torq Tube, K&N induction cone in heatsheild box, stainless steel exhaust system with Magnex cat replacement pipe and Mongoose backbox, rocker cover painted, homemade spark plug cover.

Were those figures on Velo's rolling road? If so I'd get the car rolling roaded elsewhere.

Header Tank was free as it was the first 1!
They said about £80, check with them 1st.
Mines out of ally but they said they could do a stainless.
What benefit are the valve springs?
Velos said the con rod bolts break 1st, then the valve heads drop off, do they just hit the pistons though?
The more Rpm the better!

When u reach 7000rpm territory the con rod bolts and valve springs tend to give way first. Most other components are ok up to 7500rpm +. Wont get any gains, just the valve heads wont drop down.
With the tube, you shouldn't need to go over 7500rpm anyway. Anything over this is reserved for Throttle BOdies.
£80 eh, hmmmmmmm interesting. Cheers
