been after a cheap sat nav for some time now and i have seen this version on sale.

tomtom xl classic

it doesnt list alot anout it, so does anyone know if it has lane guidance and does it have a sd slot at all, also when you buy it do you get the most upto date map with it or will you get the one for when it was released being 2009

Think this is the one my folks had. IIRC it does have an sd slot and when you buy one brand new you get a little code that you have to type in and download the up to date maps online.

get a garmin 1300 thay work i work 4 halfords and tomtom always come back 1300 is exacly the same feachurs as the xl but a massive amount betta deffo worth a thourt

its on sale for £70 so seems a good price, i have no idea what a tomtom start is

ive got a tom tom xl is its a great wee unit, if you upload the tomtom software you can actually update it for free, theres also endless ammounts of free stuff you can upload to the unit is well
