There's an unofficial version out which is backwards compatible with the 9700's much better than the standard OS that came with it, have done it to mine.
Mark, its the newer operating system found on 9780's, torch and the new curve 3G.

I'm not convinced on os6 for the 9700/80 as I think without touchscreen it's a tad messy?!
Have also heard without the processor from the 9780 the 9700 runs slow with os6?!

I've not used it with touchscreen so it feels normal to me.
Boots up quicker but needs a battery pull once every day or it starts to go slow.
Takes up alot of space too so you cant have loads and loads of apps, but it suits me.

Cool, what advantages have you found with it?
Im not a fan of the "Messages" folder which groups all FB, txtm email etc together. This is the main improvement?
