Dropped my dirty old vectra off at garage this morning for it's MOT, proceeded to wait 20 mins for a taxi that never came so walked the 30 mins home where I realised i'd left my house keys on with my car keys, Doh! Had to wait for another 25 mins for my old dear to come back and let me in. I've very much been expecting a fail as the car is 12 odd years old and has done 135k miles and i've only replaced the brakes since i've owned it (done about 11k miles in it since may). Anyways it passed with 1 advisory which is a rear tyre so i'm made up. Oh and my missus step mum has just booked us a holiday

Monday mornings are shit, monday afternoons are ok

Why not wait for the car when u had already waited for 20 mins and had to walk 30 mins home?

But good news on passing

I'm working from home so had to get home to do a bit, plus it wasn't booked in 'til 11 so would have been a long wait as I dropped it off at half 8.

I'd been setting myself up for it costing £300+ so i'm very happy!

MOT was a bit steep @ £52 but I know the blokes genuine so rather that than pay quick fit £35 odd and get a fail on windscreen wipers etc. I'm a research analyst.

It was actually £40 including the pre-mot check and the actual MOT (at a different garage) and they sorted my dodgy headlight adjustors

I arrived in work this morning. 30mins later I was going to be in Norway tomorrow. 5hrs later (once I'd tore my hair out getting travel booked) it got cancelled.

I hate people.

That's a scary coincidence . The company I work for has just bought a peice of software from a norwegian based company (in Oslow) and the salesman offered us two days training for free plus a free weekend skiing. I don't think it'll happen though.
