Turned my heaters on and was only de misting one side, the smoke/steam started coming out and the floor is wet, I have been told this could/probably will be the heater matrix. my question is which bit do i replace? the small radiator looking thing or the actual blower motors etc?

Then matrix is the bit that makes the air warm, the fan the bit that moves the air.
It's a wankstain to do

Depends how bad the leak is.
You could also bypass it by taking the pipes off at the bulkhead and looping one back on to the other so the water doesn't enter the dash.
Won't have any heat then of course, but is also won't leak.
