just wanting to get some ideas of sone good tuning options for a redtop. I'm not wanting to go down the turbo or throttle body route. The cars standard. Iv got a sportex racetube and backbox and just bought a powercap. What else would see me good gains? I was thinking decat and 4-2-1 or heatwrap my manifold for the time being

Nothing much if your not wanting to tb it, cams, port the head, increased compression and a shit load of nitrous maybe

Chiping the ecu wont do much if anything, if you had bought the car and it came with a spare ecu with a chip then obv put it in, but if you have to go out your way to get one then i dont think it would be worth it because the difference wouldnt be massive. maybe with all the mods listed it would prove better

QED claim a healthy increase in power from fitting their cams and a chipped ecu.

I dont think that is a bad route to go down if you are not wanting to go multi throttle bodies.

I have kent ast1612 cams and vernier pulleys, power cap, camco ecu and a full exhaust and i noticed quite a difference in the way it drives like

Mine has, autosprint 288 cams, tonylaw mani, 2 1/2 system, lightened fly with arp bolts and a rebuild and it pulls like a train. Even my cat being taken off made a fair difference... I'm yet to get it dynod tho
