i dont think the libyan loyalists hearts are really in it enough to be properly brutal, at the moment they are just doing gaddafis bidding as much as they have to
i heard reports they were purposly missing targets when they did air strikes

what does seem good though is finally we are fronting a military campaign by ourselves again, without being lead by the USA.
an earliy indication of the uk being a strong self minded independant military force again

What? I used to like you.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

There were rumours at the time Al Megrahi (sp?) got out the SAS had been in country teaching the libyans some stuff.
Possibly shouldn't have taught them quite so much.

The government doesn't comment on the special forces, is what I read yesterday.
I wouldn't be so quick to believe the SAS were captured, not because they're the SAS but because I don't believe everything I read.

They are just human beings. They may be well trained etc, but they are just people doing a job and like people could make mistakes. I'm not 100% but from what I have read it doesn't sound like they where captured in a firefight, more likely when they where with the diplomats (Ambassodor?!) they where surrounded and had no choice.
I think the media where just making it out to be a drama when tbh it just looks like the Libyans where just making sure they whereby there to start some kind of conflict, soon as they established they where on a rescue mission boom deliver them back to the navy and they are away home unharmed after a very short space of time
