Ironically it may well live on as a re-shelled pov-spec.
Frustrating given that there won't actually be anything wrong with the shell.

Why is it a Cat B? Is it structurally buggered?

Would imagine so. I think it's routine for water damage particularly where electronics are concerned.

CAT B is for brake only, because its been in water its a massive fire hazard with the electrics, so they will not chance selling it as a repair as you will find it will prob still run and drive. My friend had a brand new 911 in CAT B same as this been in a lake, we drove it around the yard, there was nothing wrong with it but had to be broken.
You can not DeNeg a CAT B car trust me we have tried
Also you can only buy CAT B's if you have a brakers licence and if the car is found outside the site where the licence is held you run the risk of loosing it. An i do not know anyone who has one who would run the risk as they are a nightmare to get hold off, BUT i have one so thanks for the heads up going to watch this...

It would also be legal to fit the bits to another H and track that.
Technically would need an IVA if you started transplanting a number of the major components (axles, steering rack, not clear on the proper list) although you wouldn't need to do transfer over much of that anyway and also you wouldn't need to re-register it anyway.

Legally no as if the car is found outside the licence area then the brakers could loose there licence.
I doubt they would check BUT would you take the risk? because i know i wouldent chance 1 car to close down your buisness?
