Good evening lads

Quick update.

Recently bought some new goodies from a friend for the car

Got myself some 80mm shocks and springs for the front and a sportex 3" - 3.5" rolled tip backbox

Also finally fitted the alternator belt so the car is running. Fitting a new track-rod end this weekend and getting the rear tyre swapped over for the new one i go

So hopefully should be going in for an MOT and back on the road soon!

Sorry for the lack of pics. Just got a blackberry and it doesnt have a camera (its an old on but its better than no phone :thumbs

Cheers

Needs alot of work doing to it but cant really complain!

Fitted the front shocks and exhaust so the cars sitting very nicely and also started work on fillering the wiper hole. Currently primered it then flatted the primer back ready for another coat and to get rid of some of the sandpaper scratches.

Well I had one caravan to valet today for a customer which was in the morning so it left me with nothing to do
(other than a trip to the petrol station to fill up the companys A4 and odd trips across the road :rolleyes

I decided to give the GSI bumper a little test fit

Front bumper off and find alot of rust.... (Is it an MOT failure? )

Bumper on..... ish

bonnet shut.

My SMD sidelights

only thing im having a problem with is the fact the top lugs are missing the inside clips (the ones that go into the random casing on the wing) and the bottom screws (the ones that are at the front of the wheels)

Cheers

Well all i've done lately is fiddled about with the car in my spare lunch breaks at work (doing odd jobs cleaning up)

Took the Top inlet off, cleaned it up and painted some silver hammerite on it

Used abit of G101 aswell and a scrubbing brush and cleaned up the top of the engine (inlet refitted)

Cleaned up the rear arches and sprayed black

Cleaned up the rear drums and painted black

Cleaned up the front slampanel and sprayed it matt black

Decided to sell the GSI bumper and bought this instead

Once i've got all the parts i need for the MOT, gunna spend a weekend on it (when i get a free one ) and get it back through its MOT

Cheers All
