Need to get the barrel out of the column.

Pointers to the procedure would be most welcome.

Well.. anyway, pre97's have two little grub screws that secure it in, post 97's have one and sometimes a little pin you have to pursuade out with a hammer, then you have to turn the key to certain position and push a little allen key in a hole which released it from the column.

Pre, it's off my GSi, 93.

Got a hole in the back of the metal sleeve but doesn't appear to respond to being poked.

For future reference, it's the hole on the side not the one at the back.
