hi i was told u can just put a x14xe flywheel and clutch on a x16xe engine to have the effect of a lightened flywheel ???
is this correct , is there anything else i would need to change and is it just a straight swap ??
any1 know the weight difference and what sort of power will a x14xe clutch handle ??

They are both the same.
The Z14XE has a lighter flywheel. I've got 2 of them. I'll let you know how much it weighs later on today.

X14's do have a flat flywheel, Rather than the Pot type as per x16's.
As for how much power you can put through the clutch, that depends on the quality of the clutch and pressure plate more importantly.

Does this apply to the x18xe1 engines as well? I've got a x14 flywheel laying about. Would help out with the clutch as well, much easier/cheaper to find a decent x14/x16 clutch.

well my x16xe has had a quite a few mods so will be hopefully running about the 145 bhp so would the z14xe or the x14xe flat flywheel be strong enough to take the power .
also if i choose to use the z14xe or x14xe flywheel do i just need to buy the corisponding 3 pce clutch ket , or do i need to buy bits off different clutch kits if you know what i mean lol

~150bhp isn't a lot, Your talking 200bhp before the clutch starts slipping. It will be fine as long as you get a new clutch that isn't made of cheese.
Bissmire - Is the X18XE1 a pot type flywheel? If it is then yeah, The x14 flywheel should bolt straight on (as its still smallblock).

A genuine x14xe clutch kit is capable of taking 200bhp b4 needing to be uprated
