The other day i let my n900 batt flat so that the phone switched off due to now power.
When i plugged the charger in nothing happened, lookin on forums it seems if you let the batt go too flat it will never come back on.
I have just managed a jump start from the computer usb 5v connected direct to the batt left it 10 mins terminal voltage was 3.94 rather than 2.67, handy way of 50% charge in 10 mins.

I have let mine go so flat it turns itself off on a few occasions and its always charged fine. My first N900 had to go back to the shop because the charger port detached itself from the phone. The have blatently given me a refurbed N900 as it switches itself off when it feels like it and despite been away for repair for 3 weeks it still does it when it came back
