we have an aventura gorgeous car, ideal for kids, dogs and towing. i use to have a shogun sport, the car version to the l200 and that was shite on fuel but was a very nice ride, it all depends on what you will use it for.

Im a mitsi technician. With you looking at the l200 of that age (pcar). Just be sure its had its cambelt changes !! Tappets need setting every 25k miles.
We tend to get alot of l200 of this age with snapped leaf springs. Also have issues with overboost but can be sorted by adjusting the stopper bolts on the turbo.
Play in front bearings but can be adjusted up easy enough.
Thats all i can think of the top of my head. They usually pretty solid motors if looked after.
Any more info ask and i will get back to you.

If its the 4d56 engine code will have 2 belts. Balance shaft belt and timing belt. Only mitsi i know of with chain is shogun diesel.

hi lux. depends how much you wanna spend. d22 navaras arent much d40's your looking 10k+vat on most with a 400tax bracket. rangers arent so bad, but tbh fuel is goig to be bad on them all no matter what, 2.5td and weigh a fair bit.

Feel like it will do about another 10 mph and its had enough
One of my mates had one, got it when we were 18, so you can imagine the abuse it got. Drank fuel like no tomorrow and hidiously slow. His also snapped leafsprings as the mechanic guy said (his was 2003), had an alternator die, and had a few starting problems. He never carried anything in it except drunk bitches.
Good work horse for knocking about town thats about it. I think alot of them have problems due to the style of owner. Gypo/meat head and never looks after/services them.

Agreed. I love double cab pickups but they drive like a pig.. The rodeo Denver isn't too bad

D40 navaras dont, they are awesome and happily sit at 90 on a motorway crusing along. I drove an auto aventura to essex with a mix of motorway and country lanes and tbought it was very good at everything.
