where your working you need to be looking in thr ruislip, harrow, eastcote, rayners lane areas..and if u want to live further out gerrards cross, chalfont, beaconsfield, high wycombe..all property in london is overpriced and you'll be lucky to get anything decent under 1k a month

St Albans is a nice place, likewise parts of Hitchin and surrounding areas, but it'll be a trek to get to Park Royal/Ealing. Best bet would be somewhere around the M40/A40 (Slough, Maidenhead, Windsor), although it'd also be worth looking at local places like Richmond, Isleworth, Brent area, South Harrow way - you might get lucky and find somewhere decent/reasonably priced.

I live in Reading and my brother lives in Ealing. It's only 30 mins on the train to Ealing from us but the savings over London prices are £££

More chance of getting robbed in lollerpool tbh

As has been said your best getting somewhere on the outskirts and commuting in. You dont have to travel right into london so driving may not be too bad for you.
