hi i want to get some stainless or other type bolts t replace some engine bolts like thermostat, belt cover and mantzel inlet bolts but how do i know what size they are to order some other ones? Anyone know the size already? I want probably a socket allen key type head for the all to replace the torx shapes

measure the thickness of the end of the thread to get the thread size, then from under the head to the bottom of the bolt to get the length.

if you measure accross the bottom of the thread like i said you will get the thread size, e.g M8, then measure the space between the tops of the threads to get the pitch e.g m8 x 1mm

oh right just on demon tweeks where you can get probolt its ask for thread pitch etc

sorry scottyp1989 i miss read measure between the thread tops i thought you said measure the thread like for the length of the bolt
