Just wondering if a strut brace would help my handling in any way on a standard sxi (b shape)

Don't buy them expecting all your handling to be amazingly taut.
You won't notice the difference if there is one at all, but it's worth getting one IMHO just to tidy up an engine bay or rear boot
Save your pennies and get an FK suspension kit (springs and shocks) - then you'll be smiling around every roundabout.

I'm tryin to sort a front brace for my 1600 sport with Mantzel powerbox, gettin nowhere the only ones that fit are lexmaul ones which look a bit tacky for the money (£80 for a steel brace!) and the very nice Wiechers sport one which ya can only seem to get from Germany but dunno if it'll go over battery cos its for a left hooker! Thinkin of gettin one fabricated in Ally, anybody had anythin like this done b4, anyone know a good fabricator in Derby Notts area?
