Any tips? Saxo shell is sitting here with a tank full and we need some for the lawn mower
Can you just ram a garden hose in it and get it out or is it not that simple? Dont really want a mouthful of petrol tbh

cant siphon most cars and petrol doesnt taste "too" bad.
Disconnect a fuel line from the engine and turn the car over or put a 12v feed straight to the fuel pump.

We drill the tanks then open the filler (to release the vacum)..
Or if you dont want to drill it just remove the filler neck from the tank and stick a screw driver in there to open the anti-syphon valve.
**And a quick safety note**
If you drill the tank do NOT let off on the drill until you have moved the drill away to a safe distance as sometimes the brushes in the motor sparks as they shut off.

Just stick a hose pipe down it and suck it, it doesn't taste that bad and far less messy than putting a hole in the tank

A lot of cars have anti syphon things in the filler neck now.
If theres an entry hole under the rear seat, just take the pump out that way and get it out.
Off topic, what are you doing with the Saxo? Any parts for sale that are handy?

I saw a guy at a scrappies do it with an L-reg Mondeo on a forklift. Had the thing sitting at head height with a jerry can with a funnel in it sitting underneath and started prodding the bottom of the tank with a pick axe, taking dead soft dints each time trying to carefully pierce a small hole.
But when he realised this wasn't working he stood with the pick axe between his legs and smashed the bottom of this fuel tank as hard as he could cue petrol going everywhere except from in his not so carefully positioned jerry can

took the big hose off the tank in the end as it had an anti syphon thingy in it. Think I lost about a litre over me and the floor
