Well last night I got a puncture! Had to push my bike home around 5 miles, so wasnt very happy lol. I am new to bikes so don't know much... At present I have these on

I am assuming they are tubeless? How hard is it for me to fit a new tubless tyre? Am I best just getting a tube and tyre when I get a replacement at the weekend?

Planning on doing some downhill in the summer, so what tyre should I go for / do you guys recommend?

Cheers!

You don't need a new tyre unless it's torn a hole in it. It will be the inner tube that's punctured. Get a new tube for about a fiver. Should carry a spare tube as well really.

Cool, had looked it up and thought these tyres were tubeless so thought that was it knackered. If it uses a tube then thats great, I will just change that!

What mwg said.

And fairly easy to fit, Im sure bike shops wil sell the small levers to remove the tyre, if not use a spoon

There's an easy way to tell if it has a tube...

The wheel has spokes

And the valve has sunk into the wheel.

Had no idea about the spokes, but I probably should have noticed the valve!

New tube it is then

One of my mountain bikes has tubeless rims. It has spokes and looks just like any other mountain bike wheel.

You just need a tubeless kit, rim tape and sealent which makes it tight
