106 gti respond quite well with light mods / induction kit/ manifold and an exhaust make a good difference on them.

Unsure about the 206 or 306 though.

306 GTI6 would be my pick of the bunch.

The GTI/VTS engines respond very well to light tuning and parts for them are twa-a-penny.

Not a fan of the 180 GTi 206 engine though.

306 gti-6, a lad I know has a supercharged one running over 400bhp at the wheels. Really good, nippy car as standard.

106 or 306 for me

106 will be cheaper to mod etc but 306 will be a bigger more solid car

106 should be better on fuel due to smaller engine and less weight

Drives supercharged Tec with torque

My old corsa kept with a 206 GTI 180 till about 55mph and then it was gone so they aren't that fast...

106 GTI vs 306GTI6 would be a good match.. acceleration can't imagine there'd be much in it.. but top end the 306GTI would probs edge it due to more torque and power!

Ive had 3 of them, 2000 saxo vts (basically a 106 gti), 2001 206 GTi 138 and a 2004 206 GTi 180, and had a few drives and plays with the 306 GTi 6.

they are all on a par acceleration wise, the GTi6 is a heavy car so, the extra power over the 206 gti and the 106 GTi is negated. The 180 is a little bit quicker, but doesnt handle as well as the 306 or the 106, it handles good but not as sharp as the 106 GTi.

Everyone slates the 180, but for value for money its not a bad car, maybe not as good as the cliosport, but not as bad as made out by a lot of people, found mine to be a very capable car handled well and could keep with supposed faster cars in a straight line.

As much as i like P3 306 Gti-6's,i would pick the 206 Gti 180.The price they go for nowadays they are becoming a proper bargain.Nice seats too.

Would have to be Blue, lowered a wee bit,and the wheels done white.

My mates gti6 was proper shit on fuel compared to my vts. My Saxo felt much more planted than the 306 as well, 306 always felt like the back end wanted to step out

depends how far your looking to take things i suppose and in what car it will be in,

2.0 8v turbo is allways one thats forgotten a bigger turbo and cam will see you make some good figures,

outa the ones you said id go gti-6 plenty mods to make it faster as an n/a engine
or if your pockets are deep enough you can go as far as my mate did with his gti-6 engine - http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewthread.php?tid=463805

306 GTI - 6 for me!! had this car about 18 months and still love driving it
Good on fuel when driving sensible, still not too bad when giving it some! Such fun to drive and suprised a few cars! Did a track day last year and only upgrades are back box, air filter, brakes/lines and bilstein suspension with R888s on the day and it was brilliant fun and didnt miss a beat!

I have experience of all 3. 106 are ok, quick enough and handle great. 206 I hated, engine was slow and wasn't nice to drive, that was a 138 I should add. 306 would be my choice everytime, handling is superb, engine is fantastic (sounds great too) wasn't too good on fuel though, I used to average 30 mpg on a long run

106 gti's are nippy and do respond well with a few tweeks such as exhaust, air filter etc... but might as well get a Corsa Sport or GSI..

206 gti's... dont bother, they should of never bothered. its too slow to be named a GTi.

Personally out of the 3 it would have to be a 306 GTI-6..
