I think its funny! I keep getting them but so does the Mrs and my mates when they get out of the car. You dont tell them and they get such a good shock getting out first! You dont then see!

i always do that too to stop getting shocks. Hold door as i get out, feet on floor, stand up, shut door and let go. No shock since you are earthed the whle time

If you touch the door with a key or coin it will disscharge the static that has built up while the car was in motion and won't shock you.

Alternatly you should be able to pick up a anti-static strip from any motor store and attach it under the car so that it makes contact with the ground.

Ive been getting this ALOT recently, maybe only last week or 2. Does it on all the cars i touch, My Zetec-S, dads Rover 45 and the GF's Ibiza. It must be something to do with the static in the atmosphere (anyone who has seen The Core will know where im coming from).

Its REALLY annoying and is giving me a nervous disposition about touching anything metal... find myself opening the door, walking round it and pushing it closed with the handle. Tried shutting the door with my sleeve till it shocked me through it

I admit it was funny at first watching people jump around saying "fcukin electric shocks!" but now its just gettin annoying as hell

Well since you like to go on about it the reason i wouldnt use my cock is because the shock to the nads would stimulate the erectile tissue and dent the fcukin door

Well, mine shocks me from time to time, so I've been doing some tests and it looks like it's because of the clothes I wear, some have static, some don't. Weird ain't it?
