Going to look at, and test drive a 56 plate Fiesta ST soon. 50,000 miles, looks in good condition etc but i'll find out more when i look at it in person

What are all the service intervals? Big services etc in case i need some sort of bartering points

Any common problems to look out for as well?

Thanks!

I've got a 56 plate Fiesta ST. Not had any problems with it yet (touch wood) and that's 4 years ownership now. Seems pretty indestructable! And I've tried..

Although I don't have the folding mirrors on my car, and I changed the CD changer to the Sony model from the Focus ST3.

One of my mates has a 56 plate ST. Its not been too bad,

Been in to ford twice because of the aircon buggering up,

And admitttedly he has had to do the rear wheel bearings.

Been to look and test drive it and it's a bit of a minter really. Drives really well, was an ex-demo and had one other owner since new, full service history, had all it's air con re-gassed etc. Could be possibly buying it tomorrow

it's a modern ford, doesn't really have any reliability problems or things to worry about other than usual car stuff.

just check it has the centre caps on the alloys as they tend to fall off if not put on correct and the headlights haven't been de-tangoed as they mist up in winter quite badly.

They don't tend to have many issues to be fair, we do loads of these, most common issue we see is exhaust mounts snap and centre caps fly off. Gearboxes also fail on them, not hugely common but if you plan to tune it I'd look into changing the diff, thaw the weak point

The STs are ok but not as quick as everyone thinks. My mates have had quite a few and got bored of them quite quickly!
