APC and a toothbrush,
Some trim dressings
A rubber
and apparently peanut butter (smooth obviously!) does work, but I haven't tried that one.

Don't use diesel or oil, it'll stain the trim.
Never going to live this down, am I

I used Chemical Guys Heavy Duty APC/Degreaser and Meg's triple duty detail brush. Worked a treat Can't let the APC dry though otherwise it leaves marks so have to go over it again. What Worked for me was spraying some onto the brush, attacking the trim then blasting with the hose.
