Going by the pictures in your project thread does it touch where the strut brace bends or is it all the way across it touches? If its just where it bends then adjust the nuts on either end to move the bar across a bit and off the airbox. If it touches even in the middle then try putting a couple of washers under the bolts at the ends to lift the whole thing up a bit.

It depends how many washers you put there. If you go daft then yeah there won't be much holding it up but if the strut brace is only glancing the air box then a 2-3mm washer should be fine. Or just go for longer bolts if you don't fancy risking it.

I had this issue on v947 with the strut brace I fitted.

Was an OMP one, but at the time there wasn't really an alternative. Nowadays they do one for a 1.2 16v as a seperate item.

I trimmed a slight edge off the housing which helped slightly but it still caught on it.

Mine does this Dan when I reverse bloody thing hits my throttle body!

For mine I tilted the brace forward slightly to give a bit more room. A couple of washers to act as a spacer will be fine as well. I've just got two on the d/s to lift it up slightly
