So, Corsa has gone, made an impulse buy on ebay, local 1991 MR2 n/a tin top, import.

Did a few quotes on the usual places, came back at about 250-300quid, spot on.

So, won the auction, then gone for insurance, realised i hadnt clicked the "import" box, now the quotes are all 600quid plus

Got a 307 sw to run around in, so limiting the milage to 4k as wont use it all the time, will come in handy when the mrs goes on maternity so she can plod around in the 307 & i can take the mr2 to work.

So, any ideas on who to try?

Ta x

A-Plan has just saved me £200 on my insurance.

No one else could match them or get as close.

I used to play them off against one another which seemed to work. Weren't competitive once I got a conventional car again.

Cant be that bad if they have quoted me 2k+ less than performance direct, flux direct and keith micheals or whatever they are called.
Just paid my renewal and i phone the above plus swinton and various other insurers but they were all around the 2-3k mark.
