It's the wife's birthday at the end of the month and want to plan a nice day out.
I was thinking of Chester or Edinburgh. Edinburgh is a but far really.
Any suggestions from you guys which is 2-3 hours drive from Manchester with plenty to do?

i took the mrs to chester zoo for her birthday. bought her a giraffe expierince as she loves them. you get to go behind the scenes with the keeper and feed the giraffes, they do all kinds of expierence packages.

I took our lass a while back and she loved it.

Really nice place to go out at night too.

Yup she loves animals, And i suppose we could go into Chester afterwards.

What's in York to pass the day Gary?
I doubt we'll be sampling the nightlife though.

Take her shopping for Domestic appliances. Then buy some food that she can make into a nice meal for you. win win
