http://www.ebuyer.com/product/225692
Just seen a link to it from my FB, it's for sale at £329.99.
Any good do you reckon?
Full 1080p apparently, Freeview, 3x HDMI, 1x VGA etc.

Oh OK so that one I posted isn't that much of a bargain then in comparison to other better known brands!
I assume it would be better to buy an LED rather than LCD TV?

LED is just the type of back lighting, it's still an LCD.
The main choice between LED and CCFL (normal) back lighting is the depth, the LED's are much thinner.

So apart from the backlighting and the depth they are essentially the same?

Exactly the same, forgetting about the other spec differences you may get of course.

Hmmm... Tempted to get a 40"/42" LCD for now and then maybe upgrade in a couple of years to an LED with thinner bezel/depth when prices go down...

I was tempted by an eBuyer own jobby. But got a 37" LG for similar money after Curry's price matched RicherSounds so I could get it same day.
The main thing you lose with the eBuyer specials is the UI.
Mum and dad has just got a cheap Freeview recorder which has a rubbish UI. Looks like it's running off VHS.
