Its a bit of a grey area, but as long as its booked in for the MOT and thats where you are going you should be ok.

well i did look into getting it taxed again online to put it back on the road but it says i cant tax it without an MOT but i need tax to get it to the MOT test centre??

Would have assumed im ok as im heading to get an MOT done so i can then get my tax and thought it would be ok as the car is currently insured

but this is why im asking to check

How do you propose that you "Un-sorn" the car if you cant drive to get an MOT?

You can drive to a pre-booked MOT.

Ensure they have record of it and you go via a sensible route which is fairly direct.

You can also drive to a pre-arranged garage etc to have repair work for MOT done.

Was reading it on the back of my MOT fail sheet this morning.
