Foster obviously Retired last week.

Rooney is suspended and obviously Carrol isn't considered as good as Zamora?

I think Carrick deserves his call up after his displays recently, he's certainly been better than Barry.

Carroll isn't considered fit enough to play.

But Wenger obviously got his way. Think it'll be good for him (wilshire) to miss out (on the u21s) , could of been playing 3 consecutive summers otherwise, u21s euros, proper euros, olympics. Although i assume the olympics and euros are both next year? I dunno

He was a twat for even wanting to be involved tbh, all he had to do was look at Walcott who went to the U21 champs, then was iunjured for months, then out of form and ended up being left out of the WC squad... all Wenger had to say was do you want to go to the U21 euros or the real ones!

Once youre a consistent senior squad player you should never go back

Wilshere needs the physical and mental rest IMO

not all players who go to the under21s gets injured though, walcott was just unlucky.

I do agree with the point about the seniors though. The players get enough tournament experience in champs league nowadays if they're good enough anyway

yeah course but when youve played 50 games in a season at 18/19, then go to a tourny, then come back into the league/euro/cc and euro qualifiuers in sept its gonna have a knock on effect

people like Gibbs and that are diff, when they get called up once oir twice for the experience then fine but when you are called up everytime and are starting like wilshere and carroll its a nionsense
