for the same sort of price you can pick up the kestrel das-6 dual action which would be better for a novice but is still a good tool even to the pro's

More to the point, expectations to travel large distances for a lot of work for very little money isn't feasible.

However, as a noobie, look at a Dual Action polisher opposed to a rotary - easier to get to grips with and far less risk of burn / strike through.

You wont detail your car though you will improve your paintwork but get nowhere near to the final product a detailer will achieve, thats why its there profession. Youll eventually realise this

ps as a noob, you will savage your paint with a rotary!

you could always try your local bodyshop supplier to see if they do them cheaper, i managed to get a das6 for £50 cash sale after going in for some bits and pieces and geting talking to the guys in there and asking questions etc
