Could 2 people lift a c20xe minus manifolds and gearbox? Im looking at buying one but dont have a crane, so would be lifting it in and out of a van.

Best off with two people, because they're fucking heavy.

I've only lifted one into my shed before on my own.

I found the best way is an old seatbelt through the lifting hooks and the a short scaffold bar under the seatbelt. Both grab an end and it's alot easier. Like a strecher

I've done the above method with two of us many times. Even with a manta gearbox attached. The bar spears the load instead of just trying to grab hold of the engine

Always easier using aids where possible or spreading the weight. Worst with alot of lifts is getting a good hold/grip, likely the same with an engine
