But seriously, text and graphics aren't super tiny or anything, just seemed as normal as it was on my old 18.5" running 1440x900 or whatever res it was. If I had your number I'd send you a picture message from my phone so you can see what I mean

Biggest problem for me is that you need to scale the fonts which normally means anti-aliasing them. I can't look at text like that for any length of time. I would rather see pixels than have it look blurred.

I use Win7 here with "cleartype" set on - it's at 100% and doesn't look blurry or anything?

Just re-calibrated this on mine and its noiceably better.
I also dont sit at the computer for 8+hours a day so dont really matter to me.
Any lower res looks shite.

Used to run a 30" Apple Cinema @ 2560 x 1600 at work, use to annoy the shit out of me every time i used it especially as it was about 3ft away (furthest i could get on the desk) from me and you're constantly moving your head to view everything.

1920x1080 on my new 22" monitor at work. It's crystal clear. Using ClearType on Windows 7 too.

I don't notice anything looking blurry on my screens and at work I'm on XP. How do you get to ClearType on Windows 7? I've just installed it at home.

I miss the old screen format. Widescreen never made sense to me on a computer monitor. It just seemed to become the trend all of a sudden and now the old screen format has died...
People seem to think widescreen monitors gain you width, however I feel they steal height...
