Im going to look at a car on Saturday, and want insurance so I can take it on a proper drive. My current insurers won't let me have temp insurance as they said I won't have any financial interest in it
Are there any companies that do day/test drive insurance for 20 year olds? As most seem to be for 21+

If it's only one car, you could insure it under a new policy then cancel it afterwards.

Cheaper to do it Fro's way. I've done it before. 14 day cooling off period FTW

Just stuck my details into temp cover, £64 for a day! They didn't pop up on any of my searches before.
With taking a normal policy out, will I get charged for cancelling?

I think I got charged £30 and you get 14 days to cancel, so you might as well cancel on the 13th day

elephant just told me it'd be £22.50 if I cancel within the first 14 days of the policy.
sounded pretty reasonable.

I'm not sure, I paid this afternoon by debit card. They charge a fiver for paying by credit card.
I'd presume it'll be tomorrow.

Hmmm, was going to pay for the insurance when I sell my current car, so that idea is out the window!
