I have a TomTom ONE V1
that has cracked full European mapping. It has been working flawlesly untill a few months back when it just wouldn't turn on.
Are there known faults with these units?
Easy fix?
I can solder etc so willing to repair it if its easy. Otherwise I will just bang it on ebay as broken as someone will buy it I am sure!

TBH it might be easier just to sell it for spares/repairs if you're not that attached to it and just buy a new one.
I don't know how you'd go about fixing them (sorry!) but I just did a quick Google search and found this website that seems to offer fixed price repairs depending on the nature of your problem:

Surely you'd do a Google and post up on a Sat Nav/GPS forum rather than post on CS? If you haven't, i suggest you do that. It could be something simple like the battery or something more serious.....

Not sure how my post was unhelpful?
That's exactly what I'd do.

John my post was asking if anyone knew of any common issues with these devices.
Opening up will not instantly fill my mind with knowledge of common issues

Dom - TBH I can't be bothered registering for yet ANOTHER forum. Was hoping someone might know of the issue on here to save the hassle.

If it won't turn on I'd guess power button, battery, usb port, charging circuit.
Could test all of them with a screwdriver and a multimeter.
