If its Matte, it way well be water based, a good soak could bring that off.

my dad uses a heatgun to strip the paint on his banister.
i asked him about it a few weeks back and he said thats the best way of doing it.

just watch and not scorch the wood if your planning on coating it up with a clear varnish, very easily done

Nitromors wont damage the wood at all. Heat gun could scorch it. It's a no brainer.

nitromors stinks. my dads been doing it years.
just be careful and don't hold it on one spot for too long. he may just be painting over the wood again, like i will be after a shocking paint job by the previous owner.

It's just some shit pretend wood beams TBH.
We are moving out of here soon and so some of the beams we (my wife ) painted white so I need to get rid of the paint and varnish them before we leave.

I think it should be pretty easy to remove as I could peel a tiny bit off with my fingernail TBH.

Nitromors did nothing when we moved in and there was about 10 layers/100 years worth of paint on the door frames etc.
