I've downloaded a load of old NES emulators but what I need to know is can I use any USB control pad to play them? It's too difficult with the keyboard

Yes, or you can get converters which let you use the original pads, I've got one that lets me plug n64 and PlayStation pads in

if it was me i'd get a playstation or n64 pad, cos if you get that one and then decide later on you want to try some other emulators theres not enough buttons on that pad

You can plug wired 360 controllers in too or get the adaptor for the PC so you can use them wirelessly

It's not quite the same though using a 360/PS3 pad to play the old NES games. No nostalga there

Cant see why not i play Street fighter 2 on ggpo with a friend using 2 usb arcade sticks what pads you using 360 wired ones?
