Went to AllVox in Pinxton near me the other day, asked for a price for Astra 2.0 16V callipers/pads/disks. Expected the price to be sitting around £50, was told that I would be looking at more like £110 from them. Wasn't happy about this, are they asking too much. I think so.
They also claim to supply PVD with the V6 brakes etc for their brake kits. Dunno how true it is, basically I feel they are trying to rip me off because they are specialist vauxhall scrappies, would I be better just going to a general scrappies??

Yeah I didnt think about that, how stupid can i be. Cheers Stuyw.
I dont exactly what he meant regarding the V6 setup, but he said they get certain parts from him and get other parts made up etc.

I am right in thinking that 2.0 16V brake setup would fit under my 15" rims nicely.
Also could someone give me an idea on how to convert the brakes. I know you have to clamp the brake house, then undo eerything, remove it all, put all the new parts on and away you go. How much would a hose clamp be and how long should the job realistically take??

Well I am safe then.
The standard 1.2 8V brakes aren't all that great so I want something that really fills up the wheel.

A full V6 kit is only £200 new from NotNormal on Migweb, the GSi ones should be ample though.
