But how would that s1 Escort be worth 7k? what's the difference? how have you come to that decision?

That doesn't make sense, but I know what you mean, but just because it's older doesn't mean its more valuable. Standard S1's got for a lot of money, a 450bhp one wont go for that much more in reality. A standard, mint one would probably fetch just as much.

The fact that people would pay £7k for an S1 RS (im assuming its an RS) makes it worth that.
And not to mention the fact it will hold its value and probably not lose the owner much money.
You really can't compare the 2 cars.

knowing that you would kill evos and scoobys in a corsa b is enough to justify the spend
id like to play with it on the roads against my evo and on the twisties...the engine wouldnt of lasted lots and lots of miles, it was used on the quarter mile with some 'ok' parts in it and a stinking big turbo to make 540bhp...i could sit at 165mph alot longer, safer and more controllable than any corsa ever will.
but genrally...its only worth wot someone is willing to pay. im selling my corsa gsi and ive spent 5-6k on the engine alone....its worth maybe £2k in parts and the engines done 2hours running!
