As title really , just wondering if the x12xe pump is strong enough for a 20xe , or will I need a pump from a gsi/sport ?

1.2 16v pump will be fine bud, Its MPI anyway.

even the 8v mpi is fine, it's only the single point pumps that won't cope and even then, some people will disagree with that.

don't swap tanks, just use the 16v pump as said.
