Tom/Jambo and ///M3 are banned from this thread
Anyways, 106 should be going in a few week hopefully.
Plan is, spend around 1k on a car, keep the rest in the bank, maybe spend another 1k on a car at auction to sell on, and earn some extra cash
So what can i get for 1k.
Cheap tax/insurance
Deisel???
Been offered a W plate Vectra LS 2.0 DTi with about 70k for about £700. Insurance is £850.
Could get a 106 1.5d cheap enough, insurance on one of those is £550.
Any other ideas?

2.0DTi sounds like a good bet, Vectra or Astra. Chain engine as well so quite good by what I've ready. dannymcann (sp?) has one.

micra would be my choice for a shed everyday of the week, the 1.0 i had was brilliant with fuel unless motorway milage came into it, was nippy for what it was, warm, everything just worked, never broke down, cheap tax, cheap insurance just a perfect shed. lol

toyota starlet non turbo? I know they are so crap but my mates get like 350 miles out of 44£ish (full tank) of unleaded, thats at down south petrol prices which i am guessing are slighlty more expensive? Done like 30k in it not servced once and still runs bang on! I am sure he paid about £400 for it
