We've just took a power red vxr corsa in at work.

2008 "58" with 22k on it, 18's and sight and light.

We only paid £7500! I'm half tempted to buy it myself!

What's it worth about £8.5k ish?

Mates place took in a 09 Arctic last week with 18k on, they gave £9,250 and have it on the forcourt at £10,750

Would they sell it to you? Bit daft to let it go while there's a few more grand in to retail it.

Have you driven it? Granted they look the nuts but not a great drive IMO, I ended up paying a bit extra and getting an astra

Do you think? Personally I think the corsa is such a nice looking car compared to the astra. And sound amazing (better than the astra) with a Remus!!

Why wouldn't it be power red? It's the colour it was sold in...

Corsa and Meriva VXR are Flame Red, Astra and Zafira VXR are Power Red. Power Red is two layer iirc and looks deeper whereas Flame Red looks more pinky in comparison.

They started out as Flame Red and changed to Power Red in 2008.

I was selling these back in 2008 and couldn't remember it changing so I had a quick check.

Last of the 2008 spec brochure - Flame Red...

Last of the 2009 spec brochure - Still Flame Red...

Last of the 2010 spec brochure - Still Flame Red...

Latest 2011 spec brochure - Yes you guessed it, still Flame Red...

I don't know if it bothers you it being Flame Red, I personally think they look great in red.

VXR prices have dropped like a stone from when I last looked.

I watched an immaculate looking Astra VXR sell yesterday. Black, 06 plate, 42k, FSH, New Turbo and Tyres. £6800

Probs Daimos old one.

We just sold our 56 plate 1.2 Corsa for £5.5k so that was mega cheap.

Sometimes it is a staff benefit to get access to part exchanged cars at reduced prices. We do the same with my employer.

How the fuck
When I wrote off my exact same Corsa 2 years ago I got £6.5k payout and that was genuinely bang on price wise.

I refuse to believe a Corsa can only lose £500/year
