When I was an apprentice mechanic, one of my mentors once lit a cig 'to help him concentrate' whilst he was trying to diagnose a petrol leak

When I was at the pumps a while back, I was just waiting for the gf to come back from paying, when a woman pulled into the pump infront of me, got out of the car, put some bright yellow washing up gloves on and proceeded to fill up her car! Looked in my mirror and the guy behind me was laughing aswell!

I once go a telling off by a police woman because i was on my phone next to a pump next to her. More chance of her handcuffs exploding tbh.

The ironic thing about it is shell have a points app. Dont know how it works but if you can scan it in like the tesco clubcard app then next time im in the garage i will pull off an iron lotus in the court yard.

its naff all do with safety, its because they can interfere with the pumps and mess up the counters.

Could be a good trick. I don't know why, but for some reason every diesel pump I have ever used seems to be covered in the stuff

No it isn't
Its because ONCE a man had a phone and dropped it and it made a spark and set a tiny fuel spillage on fire, since then everyone got scared.
