my dad is trying to sell his car at the moment. he has put signs in the back and parked it on a main road in our town. the sie of the road where he parked has no houses on, no - no parking signs or lines on the road. The car is taxed, mot'd and insured.

on friday night we got a phone call from the police (from a station 10+ miles away) saying that the car had no tax on. my dad informed them that it was taxed. they then said that it wasn't road worthy, which my dad has the mot certificate to say it is. then they said that it must not be insured. guess what? my dad has the insurance certificate.

do you think that was harassment or what?

when my mate needed their help for something quite serious, they didnt want to know and more or less told her to naff off and stop moaning. pisses me off that they do fcuk all in a situation where they are needed. seems to me that we as people who own cars are the main target, even if we are within the law!!!

Is the car going really cheap? They were probably thinking of buying it and thought there must be something wrong with it.

Its illegal to advertise soemthing for sale on the queen's highway. It one of them old laws that everyone ignores, but be careful, because they might do you for that.

because they gave me the number for my dad to call them back and gave me a log number and stuff.

my dad went into the local police station later and they said to ignore it.
