Why do you need braided brake hose lines?
Im guessing because the brakes are much stronger. Without the braided hose lines ure going to lose some of the braking power.

You wont need braided hoses really if you're only gonna get 16v brakes. It's only when you go upto 4 pots you need braided hoses

Pedal is softer but it allows you to work those big pistons more effectively, reducing the chance of snatching in an emergency. Best $50 I've spent on my car yet!
