Does the vehicle being towed need to be insured?

Coppers know it lmao.

Car needs to be 100% legal, Insured, Taxed, MOT'ed and in a state to pass a MOT (Good tyres etc)

Trailer.

Dollies are only legal for recovery purposes so using one for general transport would be taking a risk in any situation.

Bit of info here

For you information this is happening, soon.

I've not been well which is why I never made it to TVL. I was admitted to hospital last week. I offered the tickets free to anyone who could pick up.

Sorry for being ill, mate.

Mike, thanks for the link! Will look into the legalities as far as I can.

A dolly would be perfect size wise but if not possible, I'll look at storing a trailer.

Dolly are technically illegal to use on the road, as the car becomes a trailer, and even if your dolly is braked, the rear wheels of the car are not, and assuming your car and dolly weigh more than 750kgs it required by law that all wheels are braked. Quite of the camper van drivers have been getting done for it hence swapping to proper trailers,
