Design what the wrong way round? The standard xe head? Just that the xe is one of the best 4pots ever developed and proven its self by stil being used today.

defines that a reverse head is one where the inlet is on the front of the engine and the exhaust on the back, so the puma DOES have a reverse head puma is deffo one awesoem car
Reverse:
Definition: Turned backward; having a contrary or opposite direction; hence; opposite or contrary in kind; as, the reverse order or method.
So no, it dosn't have a reverse head.

yes in this instance having an opposite design to what is considered usual. Doesnt matter wether it was reversed aftert the factory or in the factory, it is a reversed head and just proves the puma to be the thoroughbred car it is still in todays modern age

Jesus christ.
If you genuinely believe your car has a reverse head, you are alot dafter than i thought.

lol, why doesnt it?
a reverse head was to cure a problem, inlet being at the back exhaust at the front, so they reversed the head.
the only time you would talk about a head needing reversing is in that scenario, my car already has that orientation therefore it has a "reversed" head over a conventional setup

its like sticking a turbo on a non turbo car and calling it turbo charged then saying a car which already had a turbo from the factory isnt turbo charged

@ the turbo comparison.
Just no.
Im sure once you understand the meaning of reverse, you will realise you are wrong.
P.S, both methods are conventional and widely used.

Exactly, and as your car comes standard with the inlet at the front it hasn't been reversed to get like that.
Therefore no reversed head.

Puma head is not reversed.
You could probably argue that putting the intake at the front is a better idea because you get colder air but it's not without problems, most notably it puts the engine further forward in the car because the manifold needs to fit between it and the bulkhead.
Also makes the manifold more difficult to change although the engine can then be mounted lower. For racing applications it's a good idea, but it's not exclusive to those.

Bad example there
Turbo'd is turbo'd theres no variation.
Heads come in differnt guises. Inlet at front, exhaust at back. Other way round. Both inlet and exhaust at back etc etc.
So as Ian and everyone else has said. A reversed head is a head thatv points the other way from standard.

cooling air will cool the ingoing stuff in the inlet, heat goes out the back with the exhaust, is quite a lot of space around the back of engine for the heat to move
bloody well thought out
