The Police/Fire etc could easily get them down from there, as theres controls on the base unit aswell as in the cage.

I would imagine it was an insurance issue. IE the Police were probably aernt IPAF Card holders

and thus if they used the controls on the base to lower them and one of the little scrotes fell out and hurt himself then they would probably sue as the police are not IPAF certified operators of that equipment.

Technically a scissor lift. There is an emergency lowering valve on the chassis that brings it down slowly.

Love it when scumbags get pissed up and start ranting, they spout some really funny stuff at times.
