Ive got a rocker already done painted in ford grey you can have for £25 if you want to try it. If its no better then sell it on.
I thought it was mainly for oil starvation when high speed cornering.

can't see how a modified cam cover cud stop the oul surgin on hard corners. I've never had a problem, and that's wot the baffle plate is for in the sump.

Its got nothing to do with oil surge, when you go round a corner oil gets trapped between the plate and cam cover then makes its way to the throttle body through the breather pipe which then burns and comes out as smoke
Its a different story on a LET because that breather pipe routes to the turbo intake so you usually have a turbo intake full of oil

This was a well known fault at Vauxhall, and although they never fixed it on the c20xe, they made the same design fault with the later ecotec cam cover, when pulling up to a stop even with the clutch in, because of the build up in crank case pressure, the engine used to kangaroo and stall, a recall was done at the fitted a box to the crank breather like so.
So it is a worth while mod on a 20xe because it also helps the crank vent system circulate freer and theres no where for the oil to get trapped behind and go back into the tb like Mieran said too.
