That's a 3.5t, I'm not sure they do any heavier in the later Sprinters but the tell tale sign would be a twin-wheel rear axle which that^ hasn't got

just found this:

Luton Box Vans offer the largest possible load space on a 3.5t vehicle, the largest vehicle that can be driven without category C1 on your licence. With over 16 cu. m of space available, our Luton Box Vans are extremely flexible and are therefore ideally suited for house removals, house clearances, all manner of furniture transport and other such applications.

luton van is slightly cheaper so i'll go for that

That luton you would have to question, I've drove an Iveco luton with a twin-wheel rear before which was 3.5t but that one could be over, can't tell without seeing the plate

Edit: or without seeing the quote you've just posted saying that it's 3.5t

It's to do with weight not size and you can't tell by looking at the van.

Typically single wheel are up to 3.5t and twin wheel are over but there are exceptions.

Iveco 35C12 is a twin wheel 3.5t and the Ducato single wheel can do up to 4t.

Only way is to check the docs or chassis plate, or ask the hirer who I would imagine has factored that in to their choice of vehicle.

Other problem with a physically bigger, lightweight van is that you won't end up with much payload. Said Iveco Luton is 2655kg empty so you only get 845kg of stuff, which includes fuel and people. You're probably down to half a ton all said.

It's cheaper because it's not as useful.

I just moved house with a LWB sprinter. They are massive inside. We got fridge freezer, washer, dryer, about a dozen boxes, and more. Easy to drive too even though they are so big.
