you wont get it spooling up any lower down the revs than that unless you use a variable vein turbo and you cant use them on corsa tds cos they are computer controlled

so if a small turbo spools up at 1000 rpm then that meens it will tail off really early so you will have a power band like a lorry 1000 rpm - 2500 rpm, what use is that in a road car??

ok, standard spools at 2000 so 2 even smallerones would spin up even lower, maybe even at 1000 rpm (no looked at details that much!!) then all you need to do is raise idle speed to match and would have no lag at all
says it all!!

and they'll insure you for a twin turbo intercooled etc.. diesel? Or aren't you going to tell them? if you aren't may aswell stick a 2.0 in and not tell them, they aren't going to pay up either way if they spot it.

The reason for twin turbo is this:
1 large turbo - Good high boost but loads of lag
1 small turbo - Lower lag but cant hold high boost
2 Small turbos - Low lag but can hold good high boost (cos theres two of them)

what was the car that had about 7 turbos, each one kicking in every 1000rpm?
didn't get produced for the road, but was entered into some rally and got banned

not true, the new BMW is a twin turbo DIESEL.
It uses one small turbo = no lag and
One bigger turbo = mega boost
You may have seen it on Top Gear last week
