the pub i worked at got rid of the spotted glasses as there was far too much wastage from overflow and customers bitching about having too much head.
We served pints in plastics in the club and they never tasted as nice as from glass

There was a thing where the government wanted to make pubs and clubs use only plastic cups after a certain time, but everyone moaned because the public felt they were being treated like children who can't be trusted with a glass.
They wanted to use a thicker harder plastic so it wasn't like party cups but felt more like a proper glass, but they were designed to shatter easily.

I thought there were toughened safety glasses on the market now that were designed to break and not leave sharp edges a bit like car windscreens do.

Spoons is full of alcoholics.
No offence but I've owned/ran a pub for the past 5 years. I do know what Im talking about. There's a he'll of a lot more to a decent pint than folk think.
But if your happy to drink shit flat beer then that's ok.

Those are the polycarbs I mentioned.
Those bottles are actually more expensive than glass too. Stupid IMO.

I would be truly disappointed if I went somewhere and got plastic. Just says so much about the state of the place.
So glad it's not commonplace by me.
